Hello! I’m Carrie, a freelance Senior Designer and illustrator based in Worthing in the UK. I’ve been in the creative industry for around 9 years now, working with SMEs, creative agencies like Wasserman and Live Union, and large brands including projects for LEGO and the Roald Dahl Story Company. Experience across many sectors including FMCG, healthcare, corporate b2b, finance and events.

Why work with me?

I’m quite versatile and happy working on everything from logo design to slide deck templates, brand illustration, iconography and full brand identity design. I’m very used to InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop as well as being particularly skilled at Powerpoint. 

I’m detail focused, ask sensible questions and like to understand the bigger picture, used to getting to grips with brand guidelines and making things consistent and on brand. A nice person to work with, extremely passionate about my work and can listen, take and apply feedback as well as meet deadlines.

I tend to work remotely but happy to do occasional bits of travel to London or Brighton.

  • I worked in house as a layout designer for several years, working within client brand guidelines to produce beautiful PDFs within InDesign. Often this would include diagrams, graph design and tables. Lots of experience working with printers imcluding large format.

  • I know Powerpoint inside out and can create on brand slide deck templates that work for you and your team. Need some existing content redesigned? Some text heavy slides that might benefit from an infographic? No probs.

  • Sometimes off-the-shelf icons just don’t fit the bill - I design custom icons for your client’s project.

Work

  • Slide deck design - WAYV

    I know Powerpoint inside and out and am skilled at creating templates as well as redesigning content. I work with some pretty huge brands but rarely get to showcase the work, so I wanted to create a deck that gives a flavour of the kind of work I produce. I love working on projects with clients who want their deck to not look like a deck - a more high end style. I created a mini brand identity for the company, and then sourced and edited stock imagery for use within the deck.

  • A custom icon set

    Icon set - Word on the Street Group

    These custom icons were created for mortgage brokers Word on the Street in collaboration with The Design Grove. With some slightly complex terms to convey like development finance and buy-to-let mortgages, an ‘off-the-shelf’ set of icons just wasn’t going to do it here. The challenge of coming up with suitable icons is what makes it fun!

  • Illustrated ebook - Triangle IM

    Information management company Triangle IM wanted to publish an ebook on the topic of using Microsoft Power BI. The aim of the project was to encourage people to download the ebook and the subject matter needed bringing to life visually. They also wanted a way of communicating the content at a glance to help the reader find their way around the document. I created custom illustrations which were used throughout.
